"To start, between approximately 529,000 and 840,000 veterans are homeless at some point over the course of the year (see National Coalition for Homeless Veterans Statistics)."
While it is interesting and important to address this -it is important to understand - why is this number so large and how did it get to be so large? How could this have been overlooked for so long?
What are we at risk of overlooking? What checks and balances assure this? What cultural aspects may obscure it? -
