2016 The LTSS Shift - Finding The Opportunities
The shift in spend is away from institutions and towards in home or in community. I wonder if the "in community" is an interim step until everything that is needed can be provided in home? Or perhaps - it will suffice -as being good enough for most needs.
With professional sports (a parallel universe for healthcare and education) I see the institution as the professional or major college sports teams. The in-home service - is delivery via cable or internet. The in-community might be high school or minor league baseball. It's the same game - but at a different "level" and supported by a different business model.
With education - might "in community" be just another improvement to "on the job?"
