2016 Addressing The Issues Of The ‘Aging Out’ Foster Child – The View Fr...

This is the second time today that I read/spoke with someone about actually creating the desired environment and then placing the person in that environment (as opposed to "just" teaching them about the environment.) The other example (thank you Rosalie Hopkins) was about a restaurant operated by homeless people. Imagine how this helps them much more than feeding them or teaching them how to get a job.

This article on foster children mentions significant dollars set aside for higher education for foster children that go unused

Could workplace learning create "environments" where people actually work - not just gain the skills to work?

How much time, interest and money are we willing to spend after the fact to determine if the investment was worth it?

Is there a different model that we might employ that would assure the desired outcome with minimal or no additional cost?

2024 The Talent Cloud—The Other Workforce Strategy

It is important to understand talent, compensation, resources, and availability. It is important to consider alternatives.

Where do we learn how to achieve the best outcomes from what we have?

As an example - when dining out - as the patron - what might we do to assure that we have a great dining experience?

What other examples can you think of where the "recipient" impacts the effectiveness of the "provider?"
