What was life like before we had the television or the computer in our homes?

We have been experiencing the connection of the Informal (computer) to the formal (television,)

This connection has become a convergence. The distinction between TV and Computer is difficult to perceive - and perhaps the convergence may eliminate the need for a distinction.

The same is likely to happen as we move from a highly structured education system to the realization of informal learning. There will be a time where the distinction is not needed.
