An unexpected bomb.

Fright, fight, dependence....or imagination! ("To see things that the eyes don't see.")

Logic has two explanations (hallucination or faster processing.)

Imagination follows story...(page 38) Story is the source of imagination. This reminds me of the LMAX class at the Federal Reserve (data is out of date, incomplete, and has errors) - start with the story and find the data that supports your story. Our stories differ - and yet are real to us.

Lawyers - connect facts (selectively) into a story.

Logic computes what is probable - story creates what is possible.

• Story can accelerate evolution
• Can act with initiative in uncertainty
• Logic for math, story for life!

Causal (past) and counterfactual (future.)

Feedback loop:

• The more diverse the whys
• The more innovative the what ifs
• The more trustworthy the whys (nothing more dangerous than having only one solution to a problem - from Whack on the Side of the Head)

Integrated past with branching future and consistency of purpose. (page 43)
