How would you characterize the primary role of the corporate training function?

 

It leads change?

It minimizes the impact of change?

It observes and adapts to change?

 

Certainly it does all. Is it better at some than the others - probably.

 

Is there one that it must improve at in order to get a "seat at the table?"

 

Which has the most risk?

Does the corporate training function develop its leaders to take risk?

 

What conclusions does this lead you to?

Attempting to lead change has the potential for failure - but some will succeed. Those that avoid leading change are certain to fail (for those that read this chapter - have I paraphrased it correctly?) Do you agree with what I have stated (whether or not you agree that it is a correct paraphrase?)
