As trainers, developers, social learing advocates and learning leaders -

Are we really listening to the learner?

Are we communicating what they need to know?

Are we doing so without making excuses? (e.g. limited funding, time, knowledge...)

Are we really focused on the learner or are we really focused on ourself?

How would you prove your answers?

I believe that the best classroom instructors exhibit these qualities. I also believe that the best social learning communities exhibit these practices. Perhaps that is why the classroom has existed for so long and that social learning has grown so quickly.

Where have you seen elearning exhibit these qualities? Does a GPS exhibit these qualities?
