When reviewing these rules from the training perspective it is helpful to think of the learner as the acquirer:
1. The learning method acquired must be based on business strategy, not financial strategy
2. Success is dependent on what the learner contributes
3. There needs to be a common basis for success measurement between the learner and the provider
4. The learner must understand the values of learning (i.e. more than just passing tests or attending class)
5. The learner must be willing to provide honest feedback to the provider
6. The learner must perform better and the training provider must also perform better because of what the learner contributed
