What would the impact be to the training function if career growth for people within the function meant that they had to leave the training function and become a leader in the business line that they serviced?

 

Conversely, what would the impact be to the training function if its management came from outside of the training function?

 

Would an "underpeforming" training leader be able to gain a promotion into a "line" leadership position?

 

Would an "underperforming" line leader be able to gain a leadership position within the training function?
