Your Revenue Driver

While growing up I was fortunate to receive and observe many loving and useful messages from my parents.

One of these was that no amount of money could overcome the danger of doing a job you did not love. Another was - go find a good company and stay there forever!

These two messages went hand-in-hand. If passion motivated your work it would increase the likelihood that you did the work very well which would increase the likelihood that you would remain as a desired employee by your employer!

Drucker asserts and this seems to be true that most of us will have careers that are longer than the average life or the organization. So while staying employed by the same company forever is a great goal - it may not be attainable for many.

If however, we view ourselves as an entity (company) within an entity then the goal is attainable.

Recent statistics showed that older workers are the most loyal and the least trained.

Are we missing an opportunity?

What can workers (not just the old ones - we all get old eventually - hopefully) do to ensure that their learning never ends?

What can training organizations do to make sure that older workers are not receiving less training?
