Professional development may be classified by some as "doing good." It sounds like the right thing to do.
Is there a strong argument against investing in professional development? (I hope not!)
The investment is not likely to be sustained however if as a "by-product" of the professional development the individual does not actually perform better?
Does it make sense to categorize an investment as professional development without establishing a direct correlation to an increase in performance?
