Drucker suggests developing for dominance in a small area.

 

I see a lot of this in the training industry (development without research or development as long as someone else funds it) but without the success that it is intended to provide.

 

A well-developed product without the ability to access a market that will consume it does not seem to have much value. It seems more desireable to "reinvent" than to redeploy.

 

Do you agree? Does it make sense to do this?
