In the beginning...was instructor lead training.....

 

and then the industrial era brought us standardization and ....elearning....

 

and now the knowledge era has brought us collaboration....and social learning.

 

The "instructor" is prominent once again but not with chalk - but instead with their thumbs! Today's instructor needs different skills.

 

The learner needs different skills as well. In the beginning the instructor was evident and the authority. Today...the learner is the "authority" and the instructor is "everyone you come in contact with."

 

As entreprenuers with responsibility for our learning we must develop new skills in the same manner as an entrepreneur - on our own!
