We lose efficiency when we switch from one task to another (context switching.) We also lose efficiency when we are ready to perform a task but the task is not yet ready to be performed (latency.) Efficiency is also lost when mistakes are made.
"Context switching" occurs with facility based training for the learner due to transporation time between their normal work place and the "classroom." "Latency" occurs when the learner has a question but the trainer is busy working with someone else. Mistakes are made when insufficient practice is applied to learning.
What innovations in learning can you contemplate that will help us reduce the negative aspects of context switching, latency and mistakes?
