What does it cost the learner to gain the benefit that the training provides?

How much of what the learner needs to do in order to gain the benefit does the provider offer?

 

If the learner is not prepared to make the additional investment beyond the direct cost of the learning does it make any sense to make the initial investment in the learning?

 

What can a training provider (internal or external) do so that it can help the learner make the right investment decision?
