Your Revenue Driver

Drucker outlines four basic characteristics of a decision:

1. How long into the future does it commit the company?

2. What impact does the decision have on others?

3. What are the qualitative aspects of the decision (conduct, ethics...?)

4. Is it periodic or recurrent?

How long into the future does a decision to train an employee commit the company?

What impact does deciding to train an employee have on others?

How does the employee's ability to apply the training to their job impact others?

Does the impact have a one-time effect or a recurrent effect?

Do we take training decisions seriously enough considering your answers?

I think we are doing everything "right" in relation to education related to safe driving.

It is a difficult problem, the solution for which remains elusive - vehicle technology innovations, road maintenance, driver preparation, law enforcement....

The state decides who can be licensed - the legal "right" to drive

Who manages the roads?

Who manages the vehicle?

Who manages the driver?

Who manages the influences on the driver?
