There are three motivations that will guide me as I read this book:

To understand its intended purpose as I work with my clients who may benefit from the guidance and wisdom in "Replaceable"
To learn how to help those that I work with and are "leaders whose organization does not plan for succession."
To understand and adapt what I learn so that it may apply to one-person business - which admittedly is not the purpose of the book. This might be considered to be an example of a family business - where there may not be a family member in position to be the successor.
