iFive Alliances

Your Revenue Driver

The business world is evolving into a mesh - various people, ideas and organizations collaborating to meet business requirements quickly. Social media has accelerated and supported this process which has always existed - it's getting easier and more necessary now however.

And not unlike a mesh - there may be holes in this approach and it may not appear to be as solid as the "traditional" way of doing business. This does not mean we will abandon this method - it does mean that we need to adapt to it.

Are we training employees to be part of a "mesh?" Do we interact with contractors, outsourcers, alliance partners, employees in the same manner?

Someone who is part of "our" mesh in the morning may be part of a competitor's mesh in the afternoon.

Do we have the time, money and intellect to manage non-disclosure agreements and non-compete clauses? Who owns the knowledge that is used and gained from the work we do?

Ownership of products is well-enough defined but I do not think we can define or limit the ownership of knowledge.

Do you? What are the implications of this for the training industry and for Wall Street?
