As I continue to "learn aloud" about healthcare to broaden and accelerate my skills related to creating learning outcomes I think - healthcare:
- Identifies groups that may have common needs
- Groups might be based on age, location, ability to pay, condition and the ability to access the group
- The services need to be defined, managed, delivered and tracked
- Those who provide item 3 have their own set of needs and interests
- The system is complex - many interdependencies - unknowns and changes to things that "used to be known"
How do we prepare the providers and the beneficiaries for this complexity?
Are there inhibitors to success that need to be unlearned?
What inhibits improvements?
How do we assure success? What is success?
