With thanks to Mark and Amelia for presenting me with this book as a gift - I have decided to establish this group to allow for dialog that will help the members apply the content to their businesses.

As I have worked with my clients I have articulated the value of:

  • Peter Drucker's work - especially the Five Questions
  • Bob Norton's work - especially the Vision Model
  • Chris Anderson's work - especially as articulated in "Free" with his assertion that sooner or later - we will all have to compete with "free"
  • Karl Hellman's work - especially as articulated in "The Customer Learning Curve"
  • Kevin Maney's work - especially as articulated in "Trade-Off" and "2 Second Advantage"
  • Treacy and Wiersema's work - as articulated in "The Discipline of Market Leaders"
  • The work of many others - which I access - much like a worker's tool-belt - to assist owners of training, technology and consulting companies as they seek to drive revenue growth.

Chris Anderson provides 50 business models based on Free. The Thinking tools presented by "Business Model Generation" will help us implement these models and create brand new models (not necessarily free) - that produce profits for our companies.
